Six years after French schoolteacher Samuel Paty was killed, young people at the school where he taught want to help counter terrorism, France 2 reported.

Paty was killed on Oct. 16, 2020. Cartoons from Charlie Hebdo, a satirical publication, were shown during one of his lessons; false rumors about racism circulated afterward.

For the Oct. 20 report, France Télévisions journalists visited the school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, near Paris, and met the young people there. It was the first time journalists had been allowed to film inside the school since Paty’s murder, the report said.
