Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited reported 11.9% year-over-year revenue growth for the quarter ended Sept. 30, while its proposed $11.75 billion acquisition of Organon remained subject to regulatory approvals.

Revenue from operations totaled ₹16,198.7 crore, up 11.9% from a year earlier. Net profit attributable to owners decreased 36.2% to ₹1,988.5 crore. Exceptional items came to ₹12,688.3 million, including ₹3,461.6 million in Organon transaction costs and ₹9,226.7 million tied to a settlement with a plaintiff in U.S. generic-drug pricing antitrust litigation.

Sun Pharma reported that global innovative-medicines sales climbed 6.9% to $356 million, or 21.1% of consolidated sales. India formulation sales advanced 17.3% to ₹5,552.3 crore, while U.S. formulation sales fell 8.2% to $455 million and emerging-markets sales rose 7.6% to $350 million. The company put its Indian market share at 8.6% in September 2026, up from 8.3% a year earlier, citing Pharmarack’s September 2026 moving annual total report.

On Friday, Oct. 30, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Ilumya for adults with active psoriatic arthritis, adding an indication for the medicine, Sun Pharma said. The company also pointed to a Category 2A preferred listing for Unloxcyt in updated National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidance for some patients with locally advanced cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.

Sun Pharma has offered $14 a share in cash for Organon, at an enterprise value of $11.75 billion. Organon stockholders approved the transaction proposals by July 24. In its Oct. 30 results release, Sun Pharma said approvals were secured in most regions and reviews in the remaining jurisdictions were on schedule. Organon’s portfolio includes more than 70 products in women’s health and general medicines, including biosimilars, sold in 140 countries.

Research and development spending was ₹7,784 million (₹778.4 crore), or 4.8% of sales, during the quarter. Chairman Dilip Shanghvi said on the Oct. 30 earnings call that spending was below the company’s intended pace and that it expected to make up some of the gap in FY27’s second half.
