Suzlon Energy shares touched ₹40.83 on Monday, Oct. 19, as its latest results showed a narrower EBITDA margin and unadjusted closing prices showed a decline of about 20.6% from Apr. 17 to Oct. 16.

At 10:43 a.m. IST (1:13 a.m. EDT; 05:13 UTC), the trading range was ₹40.83 to ₹41.58, after an opening at ₹41.58 on the National Stock Exchange of India. The intraday low was about 2.8% below the Oct. 16 close of ₹42. Shares closed at ₹52.93 on Apr. 17; the two unadjusted closes imply a point-to-point loss of about 20.6%.

Suzlon’s unaudited consolidated results for Q1 FY27, the quarter ended June 30, 2026, put revenue from operations at ₹3,819.36 crore, compared with ₹3,117.33 crore in the year-earlier quarter. Net profit was ₹305.22 crore, down from ₹324.32 crore, while total expenses reached ₹3,473.06 crore, up from ₹2,705.96 crore.

EBITDA edged down to ₹595 crore from ₹599 crore, and its margin fell to 15.6% from 19.2%. Deliveries grew 14% year over year to 506 megawatts, the company’s highest first-quarter total. Suzlon reported an order book of about 6.1 gigawatts at quarter-end, with public-sector undertakings and commercial and industrial customers accounting for 84%.

Rahul Jain, chief financial officer of Suzlon Group, said margin performance was affected by strategic investments and changes in scope and segment mix, alongside logistics disruptions linked to the geopolitical situation. The quarter paired higher revenue and deliveries with lower profit and weaker EBITDA measures.

LiveMint reported that Seema Srivastava, a senior research analyst at SMC Global Securities, said expense control and improving margins could support another valuation re-rating. The outlet reported that Mehul Kothari, deputy vice president of technical research at Anand Rathi, cited a ₹46 target and a ₹38 stop-loss for Suzlon shares. LiveMint also reported that Mahesh M Ojha of KC Securities saw limited further downside.
