Four upgrade contracts deployed for Swell DAO’s swETH and rswETH could let an attacker take about 2,500 Ether (ETH) if executed, blockchain monitor Spreek reported. The figure is a potential loss, not a confirmed transfer.

The contracts had been deployed but had not entered the multisignature execution queue. Spreek described a compromise of administrator keys as suspected, not confirmed.

Spreek also reported that the tokens’ net asset value (NAV) was increasing by as much as 1% per hour without backing assets. That alert concerns the tokens’ stated value; the possible theft relates to executing the upgrade contracts.
