According to a latest report from security firm Symantec published on 3rd March "The State of Financial Trojans 2014", the number of Trojan malware programs attacking bitcoin users dropped last year.
However, the reason for the said decline is not yet known.
"We can only speculate on the reasons why the attackers did not adapt more to target cryptocurrencies. Perhaps cryptocurrency's usage is still too low to be attractive for the scammers or the attackers are still making enough profits with their other targets and don't want to change their plans to include cryptocurrencies yet", the firm said.
