Los Angeles, CA, Sept. 20, 2017 -- TV & Radio Host Riki Rachtman began his solo motorcycle journey through all 48 contiguous states in June to raise money for Claire’s Place Foundation, a non-profit organization providing support to children and families affected by cystic fibrosis. On October 6, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. at Burton Chase Park in Marina Del Rey, Riki will surprise 20-year-old Claire’s Place Foundation Founder Claire Wineland with a live check presentation of over $20,000 for her foundation.
Claire, who lives with cystic fibrosis (CF), began her work following a life-threatening experience in the hospital at age 13, when an infection following a minor surgery spread throughout her body, sending her into complete lung failure. She defied all the odds and after regaining her strength months later, decided to help other families living with CF. In addition to her foundation, Claire is an activist, inspirational YouTube personality and speaker.
DETAILS: Former Headbangers Ball Host and TV/Radio personality Riki Rachtman had a goal this summer to ride his Indian Motorcycle through all 48 contiguous states. After two months and 13,456 miles, Riki accomplished that goal. This was completed without a chase vehicle, trailer, producer or any real route. Much of his journey was based on suggestions from his followers on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. He endured almost constant rain and several days of triple digit temperatures. So far “Riki’s Ride 2017” has raised over $20,000 for Claire and her foundation and money continues to come in. Sponsors of Riki’s Ride include Law Tigers, Hot Leathers, Death Wish Coffee and Indian Motorcycle.
Riki is also auctioning a beautiful, hand painted PRS Guitar by RonzWorld Guitars in a Custom G-Frame and signed by amazing musicians to raise more money for Claire. And, on October 5th at 6:00 p.m., Claire will be a guest on the live show RikisRide17 “The Last Mile” which will air on Zinna.tv as well as on rikisride.com.
