The Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Bloomberg have agreed to widen international investors’ access to listed Taiwanese companies through a new index listing and support for firms seeking overseas attention.

The two organizations formalized a memorandum of understanding in Taipei on Nov. 4, as Taiwan Weeks 2026 was underway. Bloomberg.com now lists the TAIEX among its indexes. The benchmark reflects how TWSE-listed shares perform as a group.

CNA reported, citing TWSE, that the “Bloomberg x TWSE Power Up” initiative will initially target firms with stock market values of NT$40 billion to NT$200 billion. Companies in the program may subscribe to Bloomberg Terminal for their corporate and investor-relations teams. Those teams can use market data, analysis and tools to identify prospective investors and reach them. Workshops and seminars are also planned.

Bloomberg Intelligence may assess participating firms for research coverage, with its own judgment and policies guiding any decision. The agreement also calls for a financial education lab where students and young professionals can learn to use market information in analysis and investment workflows. CNA separately reported, citing TWSE, that Bloomberg Terminal is expected to add a page focused on Taiwan’s stock market.

TWSE Chairman Sherman Lin said foreign institutional investors have historically helped Taiwanese companies connect with international markets. He said the exchange hopes Bloomberg’s financial-information services will help more local firms reach overseas investors, fund managers and analysts. Lin also said the index listing should raise Taiwan’s profile among international financial institutions and help fund managers follow local market developments.

Bloomberg Asia-Pacific Chairman Li Bing said he hoped foreign investors would better understand Taiwan and more local companies would connect with overseas investors. He cited Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), saying, “TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.) is not the only fundamentally sound enterprise in Taiwan.”

Taiwan Weeks 2026 is scheduled to run through Nov. 13.
