Tambov Oblast Gov. Yevgeny Pervyshov reported a fire at an unnamed enterprise in Michurinsky District after a drone attack he blamed on Ukraine, as ASTRA's video analysis raised the possibility that oil infrastructure was involved.

Pervyshov said no one was injured and that personnel and equipment were engaged in fighting the fire. He did not identify the enterprise.

The governor said four drones were shot down over Tambov Oblast overnight and during the morning of Oct. 20, Moscow time (UTC+3). He said mobile firing groups brought down three of them.

ASTRA, an independent Russian outlet, based its assessment on witness video and placed the likely fire site at Nikolskoye-1, near Novonikolskoye. Transneft has not confirmed that the station was involved.

Transneft previously identified Nikolskoye-1 as a station operated by its Transneft – Druzhba unit in Tambov Oblast. Ukraine's General Staff said its strike on the Nikolskoye pumping station on Aug. 18, 2025, stopped pumping through the Druzhba pipeline. That account concerned the earlier strike.
