Tamkeen and EY MENA signed an MoU to establish a Bahrain talent hub for regional professional-services work, targeting 125 skilled jobs for Bahrainis over three years.
The Bahrain Economic Development Board said the hub is expected to handle specialist assignments for clients in Bahrain and other regional markets. The initiative is intended to build local skills while supporting demand for professional services.
The program is scheduled to run from 2027 through 2029. It is aimed at Bahrainis, including recent graduates and people entering the labor market. The 125 positions are a target for the full period, not a count of confirmed hires.
Planned roles span audit, consulting, tax, strategy and transactions. The development agenda also includes artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, sustainability and financial services. The EDB said the initiative would give Bahraini professionals hands-on experience as business needs evolve.
Tamkeen chief executive Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez described the goal as creating “sustainable employment opportunities” for Bahrainis in high-growth sectors. Nader Rahimi, an EY MENA assurance partner, said investment in talent must keep pace with changing needs.
The announcement does not give an annual hiring schedule, budget, hub location or opening date.
