Reuters reported Saturday that Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency cited early accounts of two missiles hitting Qeshm Island, while state news agency IRNA had earlier relayed witnesses’ account of two projectiles striking Suza.
Tasnim said no official information was available about possible damage. It said additional details would follow after authorities confirmed the incident.
IRNA’s earlier report cited local witnesses who said the projectiles hit Suza after an aircraft was heard over Qeshm. The island is in southern Iran. EconoTimes has separately covered earlier reports of explosions on Qeshm Island.
