CLEARWATER, Fla., March 07, 2016 -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that it has appointed Sid Earley to vice president, Dell Solutions Group within the company’s Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (AIS) division. In this new role, Earley is responsible for the strategic direction and go-to-market execution of Tech Data’s unified Dell, EMC, and VMware solutions teams. He will report to Chuck Bartlett, senior vice president, AIS.
“With his extensive experience in the IT channel, particularly with two of our AIS division’s key vendor partners, Sid is uniquely qualified to lead this new team and we are excited to welcome him to Tech Data,” said Bartlett. “As Dell’s acquisition of EMC and VMware approaches, the new Dell Solutions Group within AIS will enable us to provide a more complete offering from the new Dell portfolio for our solution providers, while better aligning our suite of services with the needs of our vendor partners.”
Earley joins Tech Data with more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Most recently, he served as senior director, Global Partner Solutions at VMware for five years. Previously, he spent seven years in leadership roles with EMC and five years with Nuvox, a managed communications, IT, and cloud services provider. Earley holds a B.S. in Engineering Physics and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
