A new partnership will place Grok Build expertise in Tech Mahindra’s enterprise software and application modernization services, with the companies targeting clients in seven industries.

Announced Oct. 22, the collaboration draws on Tech Mahindra’s engineering, enterprise transformation and AI consulting work, alongside SpaceXSI’s development platform. Tech Mahindra said the effort aims to help customers refresh older applications, improve code quality and use AI assistance across more of software development.

The companies plan joint customer engagements, industry-specific solutions, and programs for go-to-market work and enablement. Their target sectors are technology, telecommunications, banking, financial services, manufacturing, health care and retail.

Tech Mahindra also plans certification programs, customer-success initiatives and an alliance framework. These activities form part of the companies’ announced plans for working with customers and developing the collaboration.

Sumit Kumar Popli, president of Tech Mahindra’s Technology, Media and Entertainment business, said: “With SpaceXSI, we aim to help customers adopt AI-powered software engineering at enterprise scale.” He also said governance, security and quality would remain part of that approach.

SpaceXSI introduced Grok Build in early beta on May 25, 2026, describing it as a terminal-based coding agent. Tech Mahindra’s partnership announcement calls it an AI-powered development platform. The companies did not disclose a contract value, name customer deployments or provide an implementation timetable.
