Unplugged Performance has officially unveiled the Tesla Cybertruck police cruiser, set for deployment this year, showcasing advanced technology and custom features for law enforcement.
Unplugged Performance Debuts High-Tech Tesla Cybertruck Police Cruiser, Deployment Set for This Year
In a recent report by Teslarati, Unplugged Performance has officially launched its police cruiser-outfitted Tesla Cybertruck, an eagerly anticipated vehicle since its preview in a brief video on June 7. This innovative cruiser is equipped with police lights on the top and encompassing the bumpers and sides, along with the anticipated sirens, PA loudspeaker system, and upgraded radio and computer systems. These systems incorporate proprietary integrations and specialized circuitry, showcasing the cutting-edge technology that Unplugged Performance is known for.
The Tesla Cybertruck police cruiser designs generated significant buzz on the internet last year. However, Unplugged's most recent official release has enabled police department consumers to acquire Cybertrucks that are fully equipped for duty. UP anticipates that the Cybertrucks will be deployed this year.

The company asserts that it can tailor the Cybertruck enhancements to an organization's specific requirements, whether for tactical, military, or search and rescue missions. The design is also adaptable in terms of providing space for captives, weapon or specialty tool storage, K9 units, or other upgraded vehicle options, such as wheel and tire packages, braking, extreme off-road, and Starlink use.
Unplugged Performance Equips Tesla Models 3 and Y for Police Use, Promises Significant Cost Savings
Additionally, Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y have been equipped by UP.FIT for a limited number of police departments this year. The company has also recently introduced fully equipped Model Y units for the Anaheim police department, which follows a similar agreement with the South Pasadena police department last year.
Over the past few years, numerous police departments have been conducting pilot programs with electric vehicle (EV) cruisers. The results have demonstrated that they have the potential to save money when compared to the gasoline and maintenance costs of gas cars. In line with Tesla's assertion in February, Unplugged Performance is committed to providing cost-effective solutions, with its electric vehicles (EVs) potentially saving police departments over $4,000 in equipment costs.
The company is also renowned for the Model S Plaid, which was nicknamed "Dark Helmet" after being raced by racecar driver Randy Pobst in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado for several years.
