Tesla held a small edge over Meta Platforms in OKX participant forecasts ahead of their Oct. 21 results, though the figures measured expectations rather than earnings or trading outcomes.
On share direction, 83% of participants picked a rise for Tesla during the first full U.S. session after the reports, while 80% chose Meta. For an earnings beat, Tesla drew 84% of picks and Meta 83%.
Both releases were due Wednesday, Oct. 21, after U.S. trading closed; the scheduled time was later than 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC). The same season included SpaceX and Netflix events and put at least $250,000 in rewards on offer.
CNBC’s Oct. 21 options data pointed the other way, showing a stronger bullish tilt toward Meta than Tesla. That measure concerned pre-report options positioning, while the OKX figures reflected participants’ selections in an earnings contest.
