Tesla is offering demo Model 3 vehicles at a slight discount in the U.S. and Canada. These vehicles have low mileage and come with warranties, making them an attractive option for buyers looking for savings on Tesla's latest models.
Tesla Lists Model 3 Demo Vehicles with Low Mileage and Discounts on Inventory Site
On May 18, many users reported seeing sample Model 3 machines for sale on Tesla's inventory website in multiple cities, with little over a thousand kilometers on the odometer and hundreds of dollars off the sticker price. According to Teslarati, the demo vehicles have surfaced on Tesla's inventory site in at least the United States and Canada, and a couple of samples of the bargains in the United States are shown below, with total discounts of $480 and $590, respectively.
The demo vehicles come with a limited warranty that lasts until January 2028 or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, as well as limited guarantees on the battery and drive unit until the first of 100,000 miles or January 2032. Tesla also claims that the vehicle's condition "meets Tesla's cosmetic and mechanical standards," which are further detailed on its demo vehicle selling website.
“Every Demo/Previous-Demo Tesla has passed an internal inspection and may undergo light repairs to be prepared for sale,” the company writes. “Normal wear and tear indicative of the age and mileage of the car should be expected.”
Tesla Highlights Standards for Demo Vehicles, Expands Model 3 Offerings and Tax Incentives
Tesla's precise esthetic and mechanical standards for demo vehicles are listed below, as described on the inventory sale page.
Tesla began conducting sample drives for the newly revised Model 3 in January, shortly after introducing the vehicle design to North America for the first time. The car was formally released in various European and Asian nations last year, and it was seen being tested in the United States a few times in the months leading up to its North American introduction.
Last month, Tesla also unveiled the highly anticipated Model 3 Performance option for the redesigned vehicle, which includes a reworked drive unit and increased overall performance. It's also the only Model 3 configuration now qualified for the $7,500 federal tax credit when purchased new, however, corporations that buy the aforementioned demo vehicles can take advantage of the incentive.
