Tesla has raised prices for select Cybertruck models in the United States, increasing the cost of two versions of its electric pickup truck by $5,000, according to pricing listed on the company's website on Tuesday.
The electric vehicle maker increased the price of the Cybertruck Dual Motor to $74,990, marking a $5,000 increase from its previous price. Tesla also raised the price of the Premium All-Wheel Drive Cybertruck by the same amount, bringing its new starting price to $84,990.
The latest Tesla Cybertruck price increase adds to the evolving pricing strategy surrounding the company's distinctive electric pickup. Tesla regularly adjusts vehicle prices in response to factors including demand, production costs, market conditions and its broader sales strategy.
The Cybertruck remains one of Tesla's most closely watched vehicles as the automaker seeks to strengthen its position in the U.S. electric pickup truck market. The vehicle competes in a segment that has attracted established automakers and EV manufacturers seeking to expand their electric truck offerings.
Tesla's latest move means U.S. consumers considering the affected Cybertruck configurations will now face a higher entry price. The $10,000 difference between the Dual Motor and Premium All-Wheel Drive versions remains unchanged following the simultaneous $5,000 increases.
The company did not provide additional details in the available information explaining why it raised Cybertruck prices or whether further adjustments could follow.
Vehicle pricing remains an important factor for Tesla as the company balances sales volumes, margins and competition across the broader electric vehicle market. Changes to Cybertruck pricing are particularly notable because the pickup is a relatively newer addition to Tesla's lineup and represents the company's push into the highly competitive U.S. truck segment.
Following Tuesday's adjustment, the Cybertruck Dual Motor is priced at $74,990, while the Premium All-Wheel Drive version starts at $84,990 in the United States.
