Testing the Floor: On-Chain Data Points to $81,000 as Bitcoin’s Critical Battleground

Following a more general crypto deleveraging event, Bitcoin's recent decline under $83,000 has put the $81,000 zone center stage of market focus. Heavy futures liquidations together with macroeconomic pressures—including rising Treasury yields and crude oil prices—have set off short-term downward movement. As spot prices approach $80,900 to $81,000, market players are consulting on-chain cost-basis data to ascertain whether this range will serve as a structural bottom or a stop for more downturn.

On-chain volume distributions show that the $81,000 to $82,000 price range is a major buildup cluster where buyers have often jumped in to take up selling pressure. Wallet flow statistics indicate no indications of forced long-term holder distribution, therefore implying that main market players are holding firm instead of panic-selling. Moreover, big wallet accumulation has resurfaced close to these levels as whale businesses have added over 14,300 BTC in the last few days, therefore strengthening the $81,000 baseline's confidence.

Still, the path ascending right now has clear overhead resistance. On-chain data points to a strong supply wall of almost 1.72 million BTC bought between $84,000 and $86,500 that lies right in the path of any relief bounce. Analysts caution that if the $81,000 buyer defense holds, spot prices may extend toward secondary corporate treasury cost bases near to $80,500; else, it provides a basis for retesting the $85,000 resistance level.
