A $302.525 billion stablecoin total on DefiLlama’s Oct. 17 dashboard left Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) representing $256.15 billion, or 84.67% of the tracked market.
USDT had a displayed capitalization of $183.43 billion, while USDC stood at $72.72 billion. Their combined value is the sum of those two figures; the 84.67% share compares that amount with the dashboard’s full market total.
Sky Dollar (USDS) ranked third at $6.866 billion. It was the only stablecoin beyond the top two above $5 billion. After USDS, DefiLlama listed Dai (DAI) at $4.725 billion and Ethena USDe (USDe) at $4.709 billion; World Liberty Financial USD (USD1) was valued at $4.048 billion.
The dashboard figures measure market capitalization rather than transaction volume. CoinGecko’s historical series, which uses UTC calendar dates, listed Oct. 17 values of $183.49 billion for USDT and $72.65 billion for USDC.
DefiLlama’s displayed 30-day changes were +0.09% for USDT, −1.43% for USDC and +5.91% for USDS. Circle’s transparency page separately showed $72.7 billion of USDC in circulation and $73.0 billion in total reserves as of Oct. 12, five days before the dashboard date; those issuer figures track different measures from DefiLlama’s market-capitalization ranking.
