Thailand's main business coalition raised the top of its 2026 growth range to 2.6% Wednesday, above the central bank's 2.4% forecast.

The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) now puts GDP growth at 2.4%–2.6%, against its earlier 2.1%–2.5% range.

The committee also lifted its export growth forecast to 18% to 22%, from 12% to 16%. Reuters reported the revised projections.

The Bank of Thailand has also raised its outlook. It now forecasts 2.4% growth for 2026, up from 2.3%, and 2.1% for 2027, up from 1.8%.

Don Nakornthab, secretary of the central bank's Monetary Policy Committee, cited stronger exports and private investment as support for the bank's upgrades. The bank's 2026 estimate is at the low end of the business coalition's new range.

Thailand's economy grew 2.4% in 2025, Reuters reported.
