The Linley Group Debuts Spring Processor Conference Focused on Next-Generation Processors for Data Center and IoT Hardware

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 28, 2018 -- The Linley Group today announced an impressive lineup of more than 20 technical talks by industry experts at the first annual Spring Processor Conference taking place April 11-12, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Santa Clara, Calif. This unique forum explores the latest processors, memory, and IP cores used in deep learning, embedded, communications, automotive, IoT, and server designs.

Featured keynotes include:

• Martin Fink, CTO of Western Digital, will discuss how changes in storage processing led the company to select RISC-V for products totaling over one billion cores per year.
• Linley Gwennap, Principal Analyst at The Linley Group, will discuss why processors ranging from the data center to smartphones to IoT are adding AI engines, and how they are doing it.

The event opens with a session on data-center processors that explores trends in AI acceleration, server memory, and storage I/O. The first day closes with a session on autonomous driving technologies, including deep learning and vision processing.
