‘The Royals’ season 3’s episode 5, titled “Born to Set It Right,” is set to feature the return of Lord Beck to the palace. He is set to bring in more drama for ex-girlfriend Princess Eleanor and her new boyfriend Jasper. Meanwhile, Robert’s return also turns plans upside-down for his family.
The synopsis for “Born to Set It Right” posted on TV Guide reads, “The family's private turmoil threatens to go public on the eve of an appearance that will be well watched. Other drama ensues with the return of Beck (Andrew Cooper) to the palace and during a confrontation involving Jasper (Tom Austen).”
Lord Twysden “Beck” Beckwith II was first introduced in season 1’s episode 6, titled "The Slings and Arrows of Outrageous Fortune," where he took a trip to Monaco with Princess Eleanor (Alexandra Park) and Prince Liam (William Moseley). Although he was married to someone, he cared deeply for Eleanor and at some point left his wife for her. Eleanor left him in the end.
He was good friends with former crown prince Robert (Max Brown) until Robert was believed to have met his demise. He also spent time with Princess Eleanor and Prince Liam while they were growing up. Beck was last seen in season 2’s episode 3, titled "Is Not This Something More Than Fantasy?"
It seems that Beck’s return to the palace will inevitably stir some drama up for his ex-girlfriend Eleanor and her new beau Jasper. Beck has set his sights for Eleanor and a confrontation with Jasper is set to take place.
Meanwhile, Robert’s reappearance brought a great shift in plans at the royal palace. According to the recap for episode 4 posted on Entertainment Weekly, Queen Helena (Elizabeth Hurley) initially planned to use the press conference to announce Liam and Eleanor’s paternity but ended up also announcing Robert’s miraculous return.
Lima was forced to cut his relationship with Kathryn (Christina Wolfe) short now that her boyfriend Robert has returned from the dead. He seemed to have been dethroned as his father King Simon’s (Vincent Regan) heir since Robert also continued his campaign for the king’s position.
Meanwhile, King Cyrus (Jake Maskall) won’t be giving up the throne without a fight especially since his ex-wife Veruca turned up for a visit. Veruca reminded him, “You’re going to lie down while they put a legally dead person on your throne? Where’s the man I used to love to hate? That man used to preach religiously that there was always another way.”
‘The Royals’ season 3’s episode 5, titled “Born to Set It Right,” is scheduled to air on E! on January 8, 2017. It will be followed by episode 6, titled "More Than Kin, and Less Than Kind," scheduled for January 15.
