SAN DIEGO, May 08, 2018 -- The drug and alcohol problem in the state of Utah continues to destroy families and entire communities and only seems to be getting worse. According to 2017 Drug Enforcement Administration Statistics there were 61.8 kilograms of cocaine, 4.1 kilograms of heroin, 21.5 kilograms of methamphetamine and 32,275.5 kilograms of marijuana seized by the federal government. According to the Department of Public Safety there were 15,619 DUI arrests in the state of Utah in 2017. It is apparent that the state is in serious need of successful and effective long-term inpatient drug rehab. According to NSDUH (National Survey on Drug Use and Health) data, approximately 55,000 Utah residents reported needing but not receiving treatment for illicit drug use within the last year. One of the main reasons for this is because residents haven’t been able to find a successful and effective drug rehab. Most have given up hope that they can be helped and can recover from their addictions.
