Three Highly Accomplished Leaders Join Concurrent Technologies Corporation Board of Directors

Johnstown, PA, April 09, 2018 -- The Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) Board of Directors has elected three new members who have reached the top of their fields in science and technology organizations in both industry and government. Reginald Brothers, Ph.D.; Heidi Shyu, Sc.D; and Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Camille M. Nichols, Sc.D.

• Dr. Reginald Brothers is an exceptional organizational leader and strategist with demonstrated success across the entire “Science and Technology Ecosystem” of academia, industry, and laboratories. His career is highlighted by top government leadership positions, including Undersecretary for Science and Technology at the Department of Homeland Security, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research, and Program Manager at DARPA. He has also led science and technology teams in industry organizations such as BAE Systems and laboratories. He holds three electrical engineering degrees:  a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MS from Southern Methodist University, and a BS from Tufts University
• As the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology, Dr. Heidi Shyu was the Army’s acquisition executive, the senior procurement executive, science advisor to the Secretary of the Army, and the Army’s senior research and development official. Prior to her government leadership positions, Dr. Shyu reached the top echelon of Raytheon Space & Airborne Systems and held leadership positions at other industry organizations. In addition to other board memberships, she is currently the chairman of the board at Roboteam North America.  She earned a Doctor of Science degree from the University of New Brunswick, Canada; an Engineering Degree from University of California Los Angeles; an MS is Math from the University of Toronto, Canada; and a BS in Math from the University of New Brunswick, Canada.
• U.S. Army Major General (Ret.) Camille Nichols is a skilled senior strategist who transforms strategic plans into workable solutions and is a proven visionary leader with broad expertise that includes DoD procurement, project/program cost and schedule management, financial and resource management, and other relevant areas. Dr. Nichols is currently the Vice President of Business Operations at Fluor Government Group. Her career is also distinguished by many government and military leadership positions, including Program Executive Officer for Soldier Equipment, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Director of Business Operations at the U.S. Army Office of Business Transformation, Deputy Commanding General for Operations at the U.S. Army Installation Management, and others. She holds a Doctor of Science degree from George Washington University, an MS in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University, an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a BS from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point.

“Concurrent with these additions, Dr. Albert Etheridge has resigned from the board after many years of valuable service. We thank him for his time and contributions,” said Sheehan.
