At a Nov. 5 snapshot, a trader’s three semiconductor stock positions were valued at about $34.82 million against roughly $38.19 million in purchases, leaving an unrealized shortfall of about $3.37 million.

Marvell (MRVL) had a $729,000 unrealized loss on a position worth about $7.19 million. SK hynix (SKHX) was worth about $7.99 million and had a $647,000 loss, while SanDisk (SNDK), the largest holding, was valued at about $19.63 million with a roughly $1.99 million unrealized loss.

A combined paper profit of about $290,000 appeared briefly before the trader made additional purchases. Later buying increased the SanDisk and SK hynix positions by roughly $9.11 million. No sales were reported after the positions opened.

An unrealized loss measures a holding’s displayed decline against its purchase cost while the position remains open. The Nov. 5 figures are a point-in-time reading and do not establish any subsequent change in value or ownership.
