Threshold says redemptions will remain paused until enough operators return; it has not announced a resumption date.

The pause on new Bitcoin (BTC) deposits and tBTC issuance began Oct. 31. Threshold has also paused redemptions but has not announced when they will resume. Existing tBTC can still be transferred and used. The update follows EconoTimes' earlier report on the halt to new BTC deposits, tBTC creation and redemption requests.

Aave froze its Ethereum Core tBTC reserve, which had about $123.2 million in supplied tBTC. Users can no longer add tBTC or borrow against it, but existing users may withdraw assets or repay debt. Liquidation rules are unchanged.

The next step for redemptions is the return of enough operators; Threshold has not provided a restart date.
