Cleaning is an essential part of our regular routine. However, it can get kind of hectic, and if you are a cleaning fanatic that has to keep things in order every day, then you may spend a lot of time out of your day cleaning things. A lot of us like to keep things clean, and to be honest, uncleanliness is kind of a big turn off.
Cleaning is basic, but even if you have been doing it your whole life, you still may not know that there are some amazing tips and tricks that can help with your regular cleaning sessions. Cleaning will be much easier with these tips.

1. Baking soda works wonder with plates
Having scratches on your plates is pretty normal because we tend to slip forks and knives a lot while eating and leave scratches on the plates. But worry no more, because you can easily make your plates new again with some baking soda. All you have to do is make a paste of baking soda by adding water and buff your plates scratches with it. Plates will look good as new again.
2. Vacuum your blinds
Blinds cleaning has to be done often, but it takes a lot of time when done manually. So, in order to save time and do the task more effectively, consider using a vacuum on it, but make sure to attach the upholstery attachment when doing so.
3. Clean your microwave with steam
Not as difficult as it sounds, steam makes it really easy to take off those hard layers of grease, and within no time, you can have a clean microwave. Steam is a great help, and all you have to do is put a microwave-friendly bowl of 1 cup water with a few tablespoons of white vinegar and heat it up for a few minutes on high. Your microwave will quickly start steaming up, and once there’s enough steam, just wipe the inside with a soft cloth.
4. Pressure washer can go a long way
Pressure washers are great in cleaning your driveways, patios, and of course, your cars too. But anything that survives water can be cleaned with an electric pressure washer because it takes off even the oldest dust in a few seconds. It makes things good as new with almost no effort, just be careful to use the right pressure because different surfaces can’t survive the same pressure.
5. Carpet stains can be removed easily
Carpet stains are not a forever thing because they can be easily cleaned out. You just need some vinegar, water, and steam iron to eliminate the unsightly spots within no time. All you have to do is add vinegar into the water, 3 portions water, and 1 portion vinegar and apply it to the stain and then cover up the stain with a wet cloth for about 30 seconds. Then steam iron it for 30 seconds, and the stain will be gone leaving the carpet good as new.
6. Some lemons can freshen up garbage disposal
Our garbage disposals have to bear such bad treatment because we throw everything in them, and it all gets mixed up sometimes and gives off a bad smell. No worries though, you can clean it really easily by simply squeezing a few lemons into the drain. It will start to smell good and fresh right afterward.
7. Newspapers are very handy in giving shiny surfaces
Newspapers work wonders with glass because if you clean your windows and tables with the fabric, you would be amazed at what the newspaper does to the glass surfaces. It gives them a great shine, just clean the dust off the glass with a fabric first, then lightly wet a newspaper and wipe the glass surface with it, finish off with a dry newspaper, and it will shine as new.
8. Scrub your bathtub with salt and grapefruit
Grapefruit is a citrus fruit and is perfect for cleaning out a dirty bathtub, just cut the fruit open, sprinkle it with salt and start rubbing it on the dirty bathtub. Salt is good for creating texture, and citrus helps to remove stains.
9. Get a machine washable mop
Mops can make floors even dirtier when you don’t keep the mop clean because dumping it in dirty water makes it unhygienic and dirty too. So, if you clean with a mop, make sure to buy the one that can be washed in a machine.
10. Disinfect your sponges in the microwave
We hardly think about keeping sponges clean around the kitchen. Put your sponge underwater and then put it in the microwave for about 90 seconds on high heat, and you will be able to get rid of most of the bacteria present in the sponges.
