The Topps Company Inc. will launch its 2021 Major League Baseball (MLB) NFT collection this September via the Avalanche blockchain, which boasts fast, low cost, and eco-friendly features.
The Topps MLB Inception NFT series is based on its previously released physical card series and will feature iconic Topps designs, facsimile signatures, motion animations, and digital relic content.
The first time Topps released MLB NFTs, dubbed the “2021 Series 1 Baseball Card Collection, was on the Wax Blockchain, alongside numerous other brands like Godzilla, and Garbage Pail Kids (GPK) cards.
The avalanche token has been massively gaining recently, capturing 126.6 percent in two weeks and 223 percent in the last month.
Topps web portal, called Toppsnfts.com, will host the 2021 Topps MLB Inception NFT Collection.
The site eliminated the need for special wallets or token apps and offers a single location to buy, sell and explore officially licensed Topps NFT collections.
Evan Kaplan, MLB Players, Inc. managing director, noted the Inception NFT release comes when so many talented young players are emerging in baseball and provides collectors with a new way to connect with them as their careers take shape.
