Some AI-linked market swings can take only a week to unfold, as trading signals and fund activity increasingly shape near-term prices and challenge retail investors in chip stocks.

A fundamentals-focused investment view might previously have involved an assessment lasting three to six months. For brief trading periods, chart-based measures, how investors are positioned and money moving through funds now hold more sway over prices. At times, those factors move shares away from the direction implied by company fundamentals.

Retail investors in chip stocks face the challenge of adapting to a quicker trading rhythm. Investors' confidence in AI's future can sit alongside turbulence in shares linked to the sector.

An earlier EconoTimes report described CoreWeave's shares closing lower as the Nasdaq advanced on Oct. 19. The Associated Press reported sharp intraday price changes in both directions.
