Wallet developers using Tether’s Wallet Development Kit (WDK) can connect fiat payments to crypto purchases and payouts through Transak, which says its module is now live in the toolkit.
The kit is designed for developers building self-custodial wallets across multiple networks. The WDK documentation says Transak’s module supports buying and selling flows, price quotes and order tracking. The company presents the integration as a way to reduce the work wallet teams face when setting up payment services across markets.
Transak’s announcement page displays a publication date of Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, but its text is dated April 8, 2026. Tether’s Oct. 7 developer guide had already described a Transak flow in a staging environment. Tether says that example does not confirm production availability for a particular asset or purchase.
Tether’s WDK fiat-module overview gives the module a “Ready” status. Its dedicated documentation describes it as a community package maintained independently, labels it beta and says Tether and the WDK team do not endorse it or accept responsibility for its code, security or maintenance.
The documentation lists credit and debit cards, bank transfers including ACH and SEPA, Apple Pay, Google Pay and local payment methods that vary by region. Available options and customer eligibility can depend on the country, payment method, amount and asset. Tether says users may also need to verify their identity.
Transak names USD₮, XAU₮ and USA₮, along with Bitcoin (BTC), among the assets offered through the integration. It advertises support for more than 136 cryptocurrencies across more than 45 blockchains. The company also says more than 600 applications use its services and that it serves more than 10 million users; its announcement gives no measurement date for these figures. Tether advises developers to check Transak’s current catalog, so the listed range does not establish availability for every user.
Developers need a Transak partner account, API credentials and backend callbacks. Tether’s guide says business onboarding is required for production access. Chandrasekar Kuppusamy, Transak’s director of developer relations, said, “Every wallet eventually needs a way for people to fund with fiat and withdraw.”
