President Donald Trump criticized Fox News on Tuesday as U.S. midterm results unfolded, accusing the network of opposing him and faulting its coverage while control of Congress was at stake.
Agence France-Presse reported that Trump posted three messages on Truth Social. He said Fox’s ratings were down 27% because it spent too much time covering what he called “Trump Deranged Dumocrats,” and described the network’s poll of voters as “always the worst.”
AFP said a message Trump posted when the first polls closed Tuesday accused Fox of being “AGAINST me.” He also called Fox host Jessica Tarlov “DUMB AS A ROCK” and a “loser,” and criticized her voice.
Trump was watching vote returns at the White House before hosting Cabinet members and administration officials for an election-night reception in the East Room, AFP reported. Control of Congress is at stake in the midterms, with the outcome set to affect the political landscape for the remainder of Trump’s second term.
EconoTimes previously reported that Fox News viewership was on track to fall 27% in October.
