President Donald Trump urged Rep. Ilhan Omar to leave Congress after a federal filing listed two names for her, though it made no claim she took her oath under a false identity.

At a Sioux City, Iowa, rally on Thursday, Trump said Omar had “used a fake name to be sworn in,” KCCI reported. He called for her resignation. The demand followed Trump’s earlier remark that Omar could face jail amid a federal investigation.

A Justice Department motion filed Oct. 21 sought more time to answer requests for records related to a search warrant for Omar’s Washington residence. The filing listed her as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar.” The motion did not allege that Omar used a false name when taking her oath or establish that she committed fraud.

An Omar spokesperson told Fox News Digital: “This is completely false. Ilhan Omar is her real name.” The motion proposed a status report within 30 days after the warrant was fully executed, or Nov. 9 as an alternative response deadline.
