President Donald Trump said he did not want immigrants from Norway at a Michigan rally, tying the remark to his Nobel Peace Prize grievance ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections.

At the Oct. 25 rally in Port Huron, Trump called Norway a “s*** house country” and said, “I don’t want anybody from Norway.” He linked that stance to not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

Reuters found no indication of a policy change aimed at Norwegian immigrants.

In October, Trump criticized Norway over the Nobel Peace Prize snub, calling it an “indelible stain.” Reuters also reported that he had previously used the same slur for Haiti, Libya, Somalia and Yemen.

The comments followed his remarks at a Georgia rally on Oct. 24, where he contrasted four countries named in a 2025 U.S. entry proclamation with Norway, Sweden and Denmark, as EconoTimes reported. The next date identified in Reuters’ report is the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
