TMTG Expands into Financial Services
A new venture in finance, known as Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), co-founded by Donald Trump, is looking to enter the area and reveal a Bitcoin Plus ETF under its Truth.Fi brand. The company has applied for trademarks on several new investment products, including the Truth.Fi Bitcoin Plus ETF, and also "Made in America" and "US Energy Independence" ETFs.
New Investment Products Planned
TMTG will create three initial investment products, including a "Made in America" ETF and SMA, a "US Energy Independence" ETF and SMA, and a "Bitcoin Plus" ETF and SMA. The "Bitcoin Plus" ETF is constructed to give exposure to Bitcoin potentially including other companies involved in block chain technology, though the nature of what exactly will be inside the fund are not disclosed.
Strategic Partnerships for Support
To make this project easy, TMTG has teamed up with Charles Schwab where custody will be handled up to $250 million, and Yorkville Advisors is their Registered Investment Advisor. Even though these ETFs are smaller compared to other Bitcoin ETFs currently available in the market, the fact remains that these launches continue to advance the acceptance of Bitcoin by traditional finance.
The Truth. The Truth. Fi Bitcoin Plus ETF will need to receive SEC approval before it can start trading. TMTG CEO Devin Nunes said the investment products are intended to provide alternatives to "woke funds" and resolve "debunking problems." That is very different from how Trump first spoke about Bitcoin, claiming it was "based on thin air," but now flips that script and incorporates crypto as an integral part of his program.
