With an AtlasIntel survey showing Democrats ahead by 14.1 points on the generic congressional ballot, President Donald Trump urged Republican voters to turn out Tuesday and linked the election to his second-term record.

“If our people vote, we win in a landslide,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity. He also warned that his tax policies could be erased if Republicans failed to win control of Congress.

The poll, conducted Oct. 28-Nov. 1 among 3,566 likely voters, put Democratic candidates at 55.5% and Republican candidates at 41.4%. AtlasIntel reported a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points. The survey measures national party preference and does not project winners in individual districts.

The White House on Monday published a list of 127 second-term promises it says have been fulfilled. The list includes measures it calls “No Tax on Tips,” “No Tax on Overtime” and “No Tax on Social Security.” The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) describes the provisions as deductions subject to eligibility and income limits. The annual deduction for qualified tips is capped at $25,000; the qualified overtime deduction is capped at $12,500, or $25,000 for joint filers. Eligible taxpayers age 65 and older may claim a separate $6,000 deduction. The provisions apply to tax years 2025 through 2028 and may benefit qualifying tipped workers, overtime earners and some older taxpayers.

The Treasury Department said that, as of April 14, 2026, more than 53 million filers had claimed at least one of the new tax cuts. It reported average refunds above $3,400, up 11% from the previous filing season.

All 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats are on the ballot. The Associated Press (AP) reported that Democrats would need net gains of three House seats and four Senate seats to win majorities. AP said control of either chamber would influence Trump's final two years in office and noted that the president's party usually loses seats in midterm elections.

EconoTimes previously reported that Trump said the Justice Department would speed up federal settlements for Camp Lejeune water-contamination claims if Republicans won Congress, in coverage of his comments on the settlement timetable. The Nov. 3 vote will determine which party controls each chamber.
