U.S. President Donald Trump urged Israeli voters to re-elect Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, “we have to finish the job that we started,” ahead of Tuesday’s parliamentary vote.

Trump posted the message Sunday on Truth Social, attaching his Oct. 18 endorsement and telling voters, “we have to finish the job that we started.”

The endorsement included Trump’s assurance that Netanyahu “will never let you down.” Trump did not specify what further action he meant by finishing the job in Iran.

In the Oct. 18 post, Trump also warned that choosing another leader could leave Washington to handle the Iran effort on its own; he did not define that work.

The Associated Press characterized Netanyahu’s race as tight. It also reported that a U.S. naval blockade has disrupted Iran’s oil exports and contributed to medicine shortages in the country.

Israel’s parliamentary election is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 27.
