Donald Trump’s Save America PAC has helped pay legal expenses in cases involving a hush-money payment, classified documents and alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election, The Independent reported, connecting the political committee to the president’s court battles.

The Independent said Trump established the fundraising committee in 2020. It reported that Save America covered payments to attorneys who represented him in the New York hush-money trial, the classified-documents case and the Georgia election-interference case.

The report said Trump faced four criminal prosecutions over those issues. The New York case reached trial, while the other three cases were dismissed.
