Turkish economic confidence index rises in August

Turkish economic sentiment index is rose in August from July. The economic confidence index rose 2.5 percent sequentially to 106 from 103.4 in July. This rise in economic sentiment index was driven by the rises in construction, real sector, services and retail trade confidence indices, stated Turkish Statistical Institute.

The construction confidence index rose 3.3 percent to 88.3 in August from July’s 85.5. Meanwhile, retail trade sentiment index rose 1.1 percent to 108.5. The services confidence index rose to 105.4 from 103.7, while real sector confidence index rose to 110.2. On the other hand, consumer confidence index dropped in the month to 71.1.
