OCHA said the tally exceeded every earlier monthly count in its records, which date to 2006. It also cited risks to farmers during the olive harvest.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) counted 397 West Bank settler attacks that caused casualties or property damage through Oct. 26, more than any monthly total in its record.

In the agency's data series, no earlier month had reached the October tally; its records date to 2006. The count covers Oct. 1-26, OCHA said in its Oct. 29 report.

An earlier OCHA report said the olive harvest supports an estimated 80,000 to 100,000 Palestinian families and warned that access restrictions and settler violence raise risks for farmers. EconoTimes previously covered the agency's warning on safe olive harvesting.
