Taiwan’s currency weakened against the U.S. dollar in Wednesday morning trading, with the rate reaching NT$32.655 per dollar, NT$0.038 above the previous close, Central News Agency (CNA) reported.
The increase implies a previous closing rate of NT$32.617, matching the rate in EconoTimes’ earlier Taipei trading report.
CNA’s figures in that earlier report showed the dollar opening at NT$32.480 and reaching NT$32.672 during the session. Trading turnover was US$3.277 billion. Wednesday’s morning quote remained below that earlier session high.
