UAE foreign trade came close to Dh3 trillion in the first nine months of 2026, a record, said Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s ruler, on X.

His post put the nine-month trade total 10% above a year earlier and exports to the UAE’s 10 largest trading partners 31% higher. The percentages describe different measures: the first covers foreign trade overall, while the second covers exports to that group. Export growth was 21 percentage points above the overall trade rate.

Sheikh Mohammed said he had reviewed the foreign trade report covering January through September. He described economic and political challenges, alongside changes in global trade, as the backdrop. He said the UAE was adapting to those conditions while seeking more export markets and maintaining relationships with other countries.
