UK December retail survey liekly to show rebounce in sales

UK retail survey of CBI reported sales is expected to rebound in December as per market consensus. In December, the retail sales survey is expected to come in at 21, rising from its previous value of 7.

The inconsistency with the survey results was mostly due to the timing of the survey which was too early in the month to capture the rise in sales resulting from Black Frdiay offers.

"...The December survey will belatedly reflect that surge and so should display a strong bounce in the sales balance", says Societe Generale in a research note.
