The US 10-year Treasury yield fell 0.09 percentage point to 5.15% in the weekly comparison through Oct. 19, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis's FRED database.

The benchmark yield remained 0.21 percentage point above its Sept. 17 level of 4.94%, FRED said. The decline against the weekly benchmark therefore reversed only part of its rise against the monthly comparison.

The 30-year Treasury yield fell to 5.48% on Oct. 19 from 5.60% on Oct. 9, a decline of 0.12 percentage point, FRED said. That was the largest weekly decline among the four nominal maturities.

The two-year yield slipped 0.03 percentage point to 4.77% from 4.80% over the same dates, FRED said. The three-month bill yield moved in the opposite direction, rising 0.02 percentage point to 4.27% from 4.25%.

The gap between 10-year and two-year yields was positive at 0.33 percentage point on Oct. 20, FRED said. The 10-year yield exceeded the two-year yield by less than it had a week earlier.

The spread narrowed 0.09 percentage point from a positive 0.42 percentage point on Oct. 13, FRED said. It remained 0.08 percentage point wider than the positive 0.25 percentage point recorded on Sept. 18.

The 10-year breakeven inflation rate, the difference between nominal and inflation-indexed 10-year yields, stood at 2.35% on Oct. 20, FRED said. It rose 0.02 percentage point from 2.33% on both Oct. 13 and Sept. 18.

The 10-year inflation-indexed yield, a measure of the yield after adjustment for inflation, fell to 2.80% on Oct. 19, FRED said. It declined 0.11 percentage point from 2.91% on Oct. 9.

That real yield remained 0.19 percentage point above its Sept. 17 level of 2.61%, FRED said. Its weekly decline exceeded the nominal 10-year yield's fall by 0.02 percentage point.

All four nominal Treasury maturities stood above their monthly comparison levels, FRED said. The 10-year yield posted the largest increase, followed by the 30-year bond.

The 30-year yield rose 0.19 percentage point from 5.29% on Sept. 17, FRED said. The two-year yield increased 0.10 percentage point from 4.67%, while the three-month yield rose 0.15 percentage point from 4.12%.

The nominal and inflation-indexed yields use Oct. 19 observations, with Oct. 9 and Sept. 17 comparisons, FRED said. The spread and breakeven rate use Oct. 20 observations, compared with Oct. 13 and Sept. 18.
