In the next few hours, it would be clear whether President Trump comes out stronger with majorities in both the Senate and the House of Representatives or he gets weakened by Democratic victory.
But one thing is certain that the risks are much higher for the Democrats. While you might be leaned to believe that the risks are too great for President Trump should the Democrats win as they might try to impeach him at worst and stop all his agendas at best, the risks are too great for the Democrats should they lose.
Since the defeat of the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016, the Democrats haven’t changed the strategy as they didn’t alter the course of their policies, instead, they doubled down on them expecting that 2016 was an anomaly.
A loss in the Mid-term would cause chaos within the Democratic Party as the party would need to search its soul for a new direction and the leaders would face immense challenges.
