US Election Series: All candidates except Kasich win some, lose some in Tuesday’s primaries

Tuesday primaries saw mixed outcome in US presidential election race, where every candidate gains some ground.

Democratic side

  • Hilary Clinton has won big in Arizona, and grabbed 41 delegates, while Bernie Sanders got 22. 12 are yet to be reported.
  • Bernie Sanders won big in Idaho and grabbed 17, while Clinton got 5. One is yet to be allotted.
  • Bernie Sanders won again in Utah. So far grabbed 18 delegates and 5 for Clinton. 10 are yet to be allotted.

With results so far, Hilary Clinton is leading the race with 1681 delegates over Bernie Sanders, who has 927 delegates. Excluding the super delegates, Hilary is ahead of Sanders by 313 delegates, a gap looking increasingly difficult for Mr. Sanders to close.
