US companies reported earnings above analysts' estimates at 18 of the 26 businesses that had released results so far in the week of Oct. 26, according to Finnhub's earnings calendar.
Exxonmobil Holdings and AbbVie had yet to report, with both scheduled to release results before the market opens on Oct. 30. Their earnings estimates are $4.12 and $3.83 a share, respectively, Finnhub said.
Earnings per share measures a company's profit divided by its shares outstanding. The estimates represent the average of analyst forecasts collected before each result.
Microsoft reported earnings of $4.89 a share against an estimate of $4.82. Alphabet reported $2.12 a share against an estimate of $3.11, while Amazon.com reported $1.89 against an estimate of $2.00.
Among the other technology companies that had reported, Intel earned $0.52 a share against an estimate of $0.40. ServiceNow reported $1.00 a share against an estimate of $1.03.
Visa reported earnings of $3.48 a share against an estimate of $3.50. Mastercard earned $5.31 a share against an estimate of $5.32, while PayPal Holdings reported $1.45 against an estimate of $1.34.
Robinhood Markets reported earnings of $0.60 a share against an estimate of $0.57. Coinbase Global earned $0.28 a share against an estimated loss of $0.16, while Strategy reported $44.75 against an estimate of $8.34.
Boeing reported a loss of $0.34 a share against an estimated loss of $0.21. Caterpillar earned $7.20 a share against an estimate of $7.16, while Ford Motor reported $0.49 against an estimate of $0.41.
United Parcel Service reported earnings of $1.69 a share against an estimate of $1.64. FedEx earned $3.74 a share against an estimate of $3.52.
In healthcare, Centene reported earnings of $0.58 a share against an estimate of $0.10. Eli Lilly earned $7.48 a share against an estimate of $6.61, while Merck & Co reported $2.49 against an estimate of $2.10.
Chevron reported earnings of $5.28 a share against an estimate of $4.93. Phillips 66 earned $14.08 a share against an estimate of $11.84.
Starbucks reported earnings of $0.80 a share against an estimate of $0.73. Chipotle Mexican Grill earned $0.27 a share against an estimate of $0.29.
T-Mobile US reported earnings of $3.22 a share against an estimate of $2.97. Verizon Communications reported $1.31 a share against an estimate of $1.31, while Coca-Cola reported $0.91 against an estimate of $0.91.
