Quotes from UniCredit Research:
-CAD: Inflation in Canada will have probably softened further in January, as data today are likely to reveal. Although comments made by the governor of the Bank of Canada (BoC), Stephen Poloz, which suggest that the BoC is not in a hurry to ease more, have pushed the CAD higher, we still expect that the central bank is more likely than not to cut rates on the back of decelerating inflation and low oil prices. We, thus, maintain the view that USD-CAD still has the potential to top recent peaks above 1.26.
