The supervisory board of Ukraine's state-owned defense manufacturer has named Lieutenant General Ivan Havryliuk general director, with the company saying it expects his experience to help expand production capacity.
The board of Joint-Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry, known as Ukroboronprom, selected Havryliuk on Nov. 3 after an open competition and final interviews. The company said Amrop Partnership's Ukrainian office searched for candidates and conducted preliminary assessments.
The company cited Havryliuk's military and management background, saying his understanding of military requirements could help the manufacturer respond to the Defense Forces' needs and increase output.
Ukraine's Ministry of Defence says Havryliuk's military career began in 1988 and included senior logistics and General Staff roles. Ministry records list him as deputy defense minister from October 2023 to May 2024 and first deputy minister from May 2024 through April 2025. A February 2026 ministry update later listed him among the deputy ministers again.
Ukroboronprom describes itself as a strategic weapons and military-hardware manufacturer that consolidates state enterprises across defense sectors. Its website says it employs about 67,000 people.
