Four people were injured in separate Russian strikes in Ukraine, authorities said, as Kyiv, Moscow and Washington prepared for talks in Abu Dhabi set for Nov. 10-11.

The Ukrainian Air Force said Russia’s overnight barrage from Nov. 4 into Nov. 5 involved 128 attack drones and two Kh-35 missiles. The force said 65 drones were jet-powered Shaheds. By 8 a.m. Kyiv time (0600 UTC) on Nov. 5, air defenses had neutralized 105 drones, it reported. It recorded impacts at 18 locations and debris falling at nine locations.

Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional administration, said three people were hurt in Dnipro when drones damaged infrastructure, a private home and garages. They received treatment at the scene and declined hospitalization. Separately, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said a fire at logistics infrastructure in Bucha district, Kyiv region, injured one man. No deaths had been reported there at the time.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he spent 90 minutes on Nov. 4 with U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner discussing air defenses and preparations for negotiations. Zelenskyy said Ukraine needed interceptors for Patriot air-defense systems to protect people from Russian attacks.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia would send a delegation to Abu Dhabi, with Vladimir Medinsky leading it. Zelenskyy said teams were preparing for a trilateral meeting in less than a week. The Ukrainian president’s office identifies meetings in Geneva on Feb. 17-18 as the previous trilateral round.

Zelenskyy had also raised the possibility of a leaders’ meeting during October’s Oslo peace talks; no ceasefire agreement was announced, according to EconoTimes’ earlier report.

Witkoff said the agenda would cover security for the period after the war, ways to ease tensions, humanitarian matters and how the peace discussions should proceed. The Abu Dhabi talks are scheduled for Nov. 10-11.
