Alcoholic substances omitted from the ingredient details were found in an affected Babies’ Magic Tea – Baby Sleep Gripe Water batch, and the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) ordered its recall, Gulf News reported Oct. 28.

Gulf News also reported that the product lacked valid authorization for sale in the United Arab Emirates. The EDE issued the recall through Administrative Circular No. 45 of 2026, which Gulf News described as part of the agency’s oversight of pharmaceutical and health care products in the UAE.

The EDE asked health care facilities and medical professionals to withdraw the affected batch under the circular, Gulf News reported. Health regulatory and supervisory authorities also notified pharmaceutical establishments and instructed them to complete the withdrawal, according to the outlet.

The recall responded to two reported issues: ingredient disclosure and the product’s authorization for sale in the UAE.
