Liquidations of $140,000 in long Uniswap (UNI) positions across three exchanges coincided with a 3.49% hourly decline on Binance, where the token traded at $7.25.
At 8:27 p.m. ET Oct. 20 (00:27 UTC Oct. 21), Binance quoted UNI at $7.25 on its UNI/USDT market, down from $7.51 an hour earlier. UNI’s 24-hour change was a 1.71% loss at that moment, measured separately from the one-hour move.
The liquidation figure combines long positions on Binance, Bybit and OKX during that hour. Those exchanges recorded $0 in short liquidations. Long positions are trades placed in expectation of a price rise; the $7.25 spot quote comes from Binance alone.
An Oct. 15 Binance spot snapshot captured a 3.06% hourly rise in UNI to $7.08. During that earlier hour, long liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX totaled $30,000, compared with $10,000 in short liquidations. UNI’s spot price rose in that period even as long liquidations exceeded shorts.
